In 2010 we tendered for the supply of poster cases for London Overground. The requirements was for an IP56 weather rated poster case with a 10 year lifespan. To meet the requirements we opted to design a new poster case and after being shortlisted we were asked to supply poster cases for a pilot Overground station within 12 weeks, giving us very little time to finalise the design, prove the extrusion dies, produce profiles and manufacture cases in time for installation.
After a 6 week evaluation we were awarded a Framework agreement for the supply of poster cases to 64 stations under the franchise of LOROL [London Overground Rail Operations Limited]
Over the next 7 years Jansen Display Ltd have supplied over 2000 poster cases to circa 80 stations and we continue to provide poster cases to the Arriva Rail London Limited who took over the franchise in 2016.
In addition to poster cases we also supply, Pavement Signs, Literature Holders, Service Update boards, Mobile totems and other display and signage products to meet the needs of the stations.
Our key strengths in product design, manufacture and delivery, coupled with low cost European manufacture allowed us to win the project against 12 companies who were already involved in similar Rail projects. We were the only supplier to manufacture a purpose built design rather than offer an existing one. Our consistent high quality service and our commitment to provide more products than was originally requested has enabled us to carry on this relationship with Arriva after the franchise changed hands.
